THE STORY
I first learned about The Kitchen as a precocious and activist-oriented theatre student in my undergraduate Performance Art class. So, it was a thrill to join this institution and help promote all the amazing artists that came through its doors during my tenure. A rare organization, the massively challenging interdisciplinary work presented there is well beyond the cutting edge. I'm also a big fan of all the design advances by the barbarian group that have been made to thekitchen.org since my departure.
EVERYDAY DUTIES
Produce marketing activities related to the non-profit arts institution. Design work, creative direction, general oversight, scheduling, and production of seasonal brochures, collateral, signage, advertising, digital marketing and all social media management. Work in close collaboration with the executive director, staff curators, media department, press consultants, and liase with artists for promotion of their shows across many artistic disciplines. Establish partnerships with arts organizations city-wide, identifying and executing cross marketing opportunities. Oversee all content on the organization’s web site and partner sites; oversee city-wide distribution of materials. New York, NY
